In his Freshman year at Washington State University, he played as a starter in all 33 games they played. Also, he had an average point score of 12.5 points per game. In his Sophomore season he was named Most Outstanding Player. He set a tournament record with 43 points and 8 three pointers. He was WSU's 3rd all-time leading scorer.

Klay Thompson is not an all time Olympian, but he did win one gold medal in Rio 2016. He played in the Olympics for men’s basketball. Believe it or not, he scored thirty points on France by himself, without him the U.S. would lose against France in the quarter finals. Without him, the U.S. would have gotten a bronze medal instead of gold medal.
